Warlord Games, firelock musketeer

A finished firelock musketeer from Warlord Games

A month ago I picked up a few back issue magazines at the Panzer Depot, all of which included promotional plastic sprues of various historical miniatures.  The September 2009 issue of Miniature Wargames included a single sample of Warlord Games‘ firelock musketeer.  I promptly assembled and primed the model to have on hand when, on a whim, I felt the need for a break from more serious painting, and to use as a guinea pig for practicing some speed-painting techniques for producing rank-and-file troops purely for gaming purposes.  And so, last night I whipped this guy together, and put on some final touches this evening.

WIPs, August-September 2010

Featured below is the start of a number of projects I’ll be working on in my spare time (very limited at the moment) over the coming month.  The paint jobs for all of these will be extremely simple, excluding the Bronze Age troll and Anakron’s zombie bust, both of which I will give their due.  You can track my progress on these projects here, over at DragonPainting.net, or both.
